WINDOWS SERVER

Windows Server is an operating system developed by Microsoft and specially designed for usage on servers.

It can be used for various tasks including:

• Sharing of files
• Management of Active Directory
• Virtualization (Hyper-V)
• WEB server (IIS)
• etc …

It is available in 3 different versions at Online.net:

This version of Windows server is unfortunately no longer maintained, neither by Online.net for automatic installation, nor by Microsoft for security updates. We recommend to update your server with a different version if required.

This version of Windows server was available on the 2014 range of servers at Online.net

It is no longer available for new servers, Microsoft offers an extended support for Windows 2008 R2 until January 14th 2020.

This version of Windows server is the latest available stable version.

It is available for automatic installation on all our 2015 range servers.

Online.net offers you a monthly licensing for the the automatic installation of Windows Server.

As long as your server has a KVM over IP access, it is also possible to use your own license of Windows server to lower your monthly cost. See the pricing.
